Apple y U2 continuarán colaborando para cambiar la manera de escuchar música
Apart from the presentation of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and the awaited Apple Watch, in the keynote of last Tuesday Tim Cook presented an agreement with U2 to offer in iTunes the new album ‘Songs of Innocence’ for free , allowing all iTunes users to download it as soon as the presentation was over. The problem is that because this offer (which lasts until October 12th) is available to all users Apple has used a different download system than the one we are used to and many have not been able to download it .
What was the problem? Well, made the download so simple that they made it complicated for certain types of users. According to Apple “the album should appear in your iTunes automatically” but it doesn’t, because if we have our library configured in a certain way the LP won’t appear at any time and if we try to download it from the iTunes Store it will tell us that we have already bought it and nothing else. Here we tell you how to get it easily.
To be able to see U2’s ‘Song of Innocence’ all we have to do is go to iTunes preferences (with CMD+; or with the from the top iTunes -> preferences bar) and in the dialog that opens go to the Store section and activate the option “Show iTunes purchases in the cloud” . After activating this option we just have to accept the dialog, go to our library and check that the album is already perfectly sorted. We’ll also check that the disk is hosted in the iTunes cloud, so if we want to download it to our hard drive we’ll have to click on the cloud icon of each song and wait for each one to download.
As a mythical television character would say: easy, simple and for the whole family. Now all that’s left is to enjoy that great album called ‘Songs of Innocence’ in the best possible way.
