You can now perform the jailbreak in iOS 11.4 thanks to Electra

After a long wait, CoolStar has released a new version of Electra that gives us the opportunity to jailbreak iOS 11.3.1 , although the developer has also released an update of Electra to be able to jailbreak iOS 11.4, however for the moment only to the beta versions, waiting for a new version that will allow us to jailbreak the final version of iOS 11.4.

CoolStar is working these months intensively to be able to resurrect the jailbreak in the latest versions of iOS and it is something it is achieving with Electra, an application that you can download from its website and with which you can perform this operation to your iPhone or iPad with great ease.

Today CoolStar announced on its Twitter account that with version 1.0.3 you can jailbreak the first three iOS 11.4 betas, a yes the developers recommend you to do a downgrade to these betas to be able to do this operation to your iOS device , before Apple starts to close the door to the downgrade, stopping signing iOS 11.4.

Anyway, we hope that the developer will finally announce the release of an iOS 11.4 and even iOS 11.4.1 compatible version that was released yesterday. So if you are a jailbreak lover I wouldn’t let this opportunity go but always thinking about all the risks it has, because remember that you will be taking advantage of a vulnerability in the operating system.

In the end, we have to ask ourselves if it is worth doing the jailbreak in 2018 , because iOS has evolved a lot and has included very necessary functionalities like the famous token to activate and deactivate the mobile data connection from the control center. If it’s worth it for you, go ahead, but in our opinion in 2018 the jailbreak doesn’t make much sense and in the end you are exposing your information to cybercriminals by having a security hole open in your operating system.
