Do you know Xtreme Mapping? If you do some mapping from time to time you won’t get any benefit from it, but if every day you do tests and map your controllers from scratch with Traktor. Yes, it is only compatible with Traktor, finally a TSI configuration file is exported. This version 1.5 adds support for Native Instruments’ latest hardware, the Mk2 versions of the Kontrol.
Some time ago we told you about Xtreme Mapping, a software great for those who need to map their DJ controllers. is only compatible with Traktor for MIDI controllers, ideal for when you start mapping a controller from scratch. It is actually much easier to set it up this way than directly from Traktor, as the interface leaves a lot to be desired.
After a long time without updating we have now reached version 1.5 , more than necessary. It is now compatible with the latest version of Traktor 2.6.5 . Includes support for Remix Decks . It’s not really a mapping directly from all the slots but you can make a wizard for each of the Remix Decks. At the moment this is the fastest way to do it.
The second major improvement added by the developers is support for Native Instruments’ latest hardware . The Mk2 version of the Kontrol 2, Kontrol S4 and Kontrol X1 . These new controllers include new buttons or the touch strip . Now with Xtreme Mapping we can edit either the HID or any mapping of these controllers. Our DjTechTools colleagues warn us that if we configure the HID the function learn will be disabled or learn when we press another button.
Finally there is a command scanner – the list is very long at the moment – and a small description of each command and its parameters. An update like this was needed to customize the experience with the latest NI hardware . The update is now available on the App Store, of course free of charge for existing users of the application. If you don’t already have it, it’s available for 6.99 euros.
