App StoreEn Apple
Workflow for iOS is one of our favorite applications. Its immense potential, thanks to its ability to create all the workflows we are interested in, allows us to automate many tasks on the iPhone and iPad. As of today, Workflow is a bit better, because simplifies the creation of workflows thanks to the magic variables .
What are the magic variables in Workflow for iOS?
The magic variables are nothing more than a simplification of the way in which data is obtained from an app or place to create the workflow. With an example it is better understood: until now if we wanted the data of an app from the App Store we had to create in the flow a variable that obtains the author, another the name of the app, another the price… Now with the magic variable of App Store we will only indicate which is the app that interests us and automatically it will obtain all this data.
What’s the advantage of this? That saves us a lot of work in creating a flow . They are simplified and easier to create as we don’t get lost in all the steps of a complex workflow. That is, more facilities for non advanced users of Workflow.
Other improvements in Workflow 1.7
In addition to the magic variables, in Workflow 1.7 we found a number of other improvements . Here are some of them:
- Variable dates can be formatted without having an action date
- Application data extraction has been expanded
- The extension for iOS is now much faster
- When we get the URL of the content we can delete the queries
With integration with other third party apps and easy visual programming workflows, Workflow is an incredible application in the App Store. Now with the inclusion of magic variables it’s easier than ever for any user to create their own workflows and automate tasks.
