WordPress for iOS is updated with centralized comment management and new push notifications

He does this very infrequently and is always late, but that is better than to rest on one’s laurels. Automattic has updated the official WordPress application for iOS bringing news that many users have been asking for a long time. The most important of these, of course, are the system’s native notifications push .

Thanks to these notifications we will be able to notice when someone comments on our WordPress blog or any other event that deserves our attention, with the logical option of disabling any of those events (reblogs, comment edits, activity on the I like button of each article…) to our liking.

Another great new feature is that we can now moderate our blog comments much more simply thanks to the new interface that centralizes all moderation options within one screen . In the image above you can see how all the options we can apply to a comment are just a touch away in the same panel that reads that comment, something that wasn’t possible before.

The integration works for both free WordPress.com blogs and independent blogs hosted on our own servers (some things will require the JetPack plug-in installed in WordPress), and of course we have the ability to manage more than one blog at a time. The update, like the application itself, is free and also includes general stability improvements.
