WhatsApp will incorporate notifications for when you are appointed to a group

If you are a Telegram user, this news may seem like a joke to you, because the new functionality prepared by WhatsApp has been on display in Telegram for several months. In future updates on WhatsApp we will be specifically notified when we are mentioned in a group, something that may seem silly but that ends up being appreciated.

The instant messaging application owned by Facebook is constantly adding new features, above all to stand out from its main competitor, Telegram, which , although dangerously distant, is gaining strength in terms of the number of users . In the last update of WhatsApp in iOS, besides seeing interesting new functionalities, its code has let us see the next step of the application.

WhatsApp aims to improve the user experience in groups , and for this they will soon incorporate the ability to skip a notification when we are named in a group, and to be able to navigate right to the part of the conversation where we are named without having to scroll through dozens of messages looking for our name.

With this, finding the messages that interest you, where you have been named, will be much more comfortable something that we demanded from the application , since in Telegram we have been enjoying it for a long time.

In a future update, of which we don’t know the release date, when we enter a group where we’ve been named we’ll see on the right side the sign of @ (like the one in the image above) with a message counter where we’ve been named. This makes it easy to move between these messages, saving time and making it much more convenient.

When we have read the last message where we have been named, this symbol will already disappear. We’ll have to see how these tests evolve, but what is clear is that the Facebook messaging application doesn’t stop looking at Telegram (although Telegram has also copied WhatsApp, it has to be said).

Leave us in the comment box if you think this is a little late and not very innovative.
