At the end of last year, WhatsApp announced a feature that allowed us to play videos on our phones without downloading them, with clear advantages for our data and for the waiting time when watching some content. However, this feature presented some problems for iOS users in version 2.17.10.
But, as of today, the world’s most popular messaging service has announced that through update 2.17.31, streaming videos will start working for iOS users, without the delays and problems that caused the option to be disabled in the previous version.
As foreseen from the beginning, the function will allow to play streaming videos, and then the user will decide whether or not to download them manually.
With this latest update WhatsApp has eliminated the problems of playing videos – without forcing us to use our device’s memory – and puts in place one of the features that users of the platform appreciate the most.
From a few months ago, the company belonging to Facebook does not stop. A few days ago we also received the news that it removes the limitation on the size of the files – videos and uncompressed photos – that can be shared, and as if that weren’t enough, it has announced that will soon activate the feature that will allow us to delete messages shortly after they have been sent and that will surely save more than one of them from a good mess.
This latest update is now available to iOS users and hopefully this time, we can enjoy it without any glitches. Ready to download?
