It seems that when Apple decided to completely revamp the iTunes Store for the release of iTunes 9, it didn’t arrive on time with the new features on the App Store , which have now arrived very quietly.
Without saying anything, this morning, Apple decided to update the sections to display each of the applications. Now they have a mix between the design of the new iTunes Store and touches of the App Store available for the iPhone and iPod touch.
The display of the applications has been completely modified and we now have more space for the application icon, all images are loaded at once and can be viewed using horizontal scrolling (just like the iPhone and iPod touch), reviews have more space and ratings are more visual.
Small, but nice change. The new way of concentrating useful information and leaving more aside that which does not matter to the end user is especially welcome. The only complaint is that now the description has an almost ridiculous space and to read it in its entirety we have to click on “more” to access the rest of the information about the application.
