From November 1st, users can enjoy the contents of Apple TV+ and its incredible catalogue of series, including SEE. In order to promote this service from Apple, they have launched several very interesting promotions such as the 1-year free trial if you have bought after September 10th a new iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV. But many users are reporting that this free trial does not appear after they have recently bought a new Apple computer. In this article we will try to give you a solution so that you can enjoy this one year free trial period.
Typically, when you log into the TV application on your iPhone, iPad, Mac or TV linked to an Apple ID registered on a computer purchased after September 10th, you should exit the option to subscribe with one year free.
However, many of you have reported on Twitter that when you enter the application you only get the 7-day free trial when you buy a new iPhone 11 Pro for example. It is possible that the saturation of the servers in these early moments of the launch is causing this little bug of not detecting that we have a new computer.
To fix this, you can go to the Safari website https://tv.apple.com/ and go to the top right corner where it says ‘Login’. When you click on this you will be asked to enter your Apple credentials and in this window you should see the Apple TV+ offer and activate it from this website. Once active, simply log out of the iPhone TV application, close the app and log in again . Remember that to close the iPhone TV session you must open the application and in the top right corner click on your photo and then press ‘Sign out’.
On this same website you can also check your active trial period and change your subscription. Once the trial period is over we can choose to buy a monthly subscription for 4.99 ? per month or 49.99 ? per year so we would have two months free if we make the annual payment.
We are also reminded by Apple that once we cancel the one year free trial period it cannot be activated again r so it will be totally lost for us and the rest of the family members. That’s why we recommend that once you’ve signed up for the trial period, you don’t cancel it until a few days before it ends, otherwise you’ll be disappointed.
We hope that once the initial Apple TV+ boom has passed, the system will more optimally detect new devices to provide users with one-year trial periods.
