One of the new features of watchOS 5 is that your Apple Watch is now able to remind you to activate or deactivate your workouts . And it does so automatically, so you don’t forget to record a workout and can complete your rings more easily. Here’s how it works.
watchOS 5 and automatic training detection
Through its sensors and thanks to the latest version of watchOS , the Apple clock detects when you are doing an exercise. If you have not activated the training to record this activity more accurately, it will propose to you to do so with a notification on your wrist.
In order to enjoy this feature, you must make sure that is active . Check it in:
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Go to the Training app.
- You’ll see settings like the one in the screenshot above. Make sure the start and end reminders are on.
