Fortnite Battle Royale llegará pronto a iOS: mismas características y opciones de juego que en consolas y PC
Valve is resuming game development, and it looks like he’s going to do it in the best possible way. IGN informs, after talking to the company’s CEO Gabe Newell, that the card game Artifact will be launched on iOS . And it will do so using its own Source 2 engine directly on the platform.
We could describe Artifact as Valve’s response to Blizzard’s success with Hearthstone: a card game where you challenge your online friends to take advantage of another game’s character universe. In this case, from DOTA 2. The company plans to launch Artifact later this year, although the iOS version will not be released until mid 2019 .
Newell has commented that Artifact is not going to be free : you will have to make a down payment to start having some cards. But the interesting thing here is that the company will make the effort to adapt its Source2 engine to iOS. And that means that in the long run we could see more Valve games coming to Apple’s mobile system.
And maybe we won’t have to refer to iOS as something mobile anymore in 2019 knowing that macOS will be able to run anything on iOS within a few months. Maybe Valve has shown us what everyone will do in the end: develop for iOS and then let macOS adapt .
