V-Ray for Sketchup, now available

V-Ray para Mac

For me (and many people), Sketchup is one of the easiest and most rewarding 3D graphics editors to use. In addition, the free version of Sketchup has enabled many people to create and design 3D sketches of all kinds. One of our readers, Emilio , sends us the news of the release of V-Ray for Mac , a powerful image renderer that already existed for other programs, but is now available for Sketchup . The image shown in the entry is an image rendered with V-Ray from a tabletop project that I have been working on for some time for my Mac . All this created in one go and practically without many headaches with Sketchup , and then rendered with V-Ray .

V-Ray supports, among many other options, reflections and refractions, global illumination parameters, HDRI, a multithreaded raytracing engine, support for the materials integrated in SketchUp , camera depth effects, animation support, and a very long list of other possibilities. The bad news is that the price of the license is $799 , but we can always download the demo version and enjoy it for 30 days. In this link you can see some of the images rendered with the program, and after the jump some more images of my project in case you are curious.

Emilio , Thank you very much for the news.
