Today I bought a PS4 controller, as it is much more ergonomic and comfortable for those of us with big hands than the PS3. Although at the moment it can only be played on the PS3 by connecting it by cable, on the Mac it works perfectly.

  • To make the PS4 controller work by cable on our computer, we don’t really have to do anything. Just plug it into the Mac. If we go to the information in “About this Mac”, the controller appears as a Wireless Controller, as we can see in the following picture.
  • To pair the PS4 controller via Bluetooth, simply press and hold the PS and Share buttons until the light on the controller flashes quickly. Then we go to the Bluetooth properties of the Mac and link it. Remember, to turn off the controller so it doesn’t drain your battery, you’ll need to turn it off. To do this, simply press and hold the PS key on your controller until the light goes off.

I was pleasantly surprised by the PS4 controller in terms of ergonomics and quality of finish. If you’re looking for a gaming controller for your Mac, I think it’s an excellent choice. I’m talking about the controller itself, because I don’t have any games installed at the moment and I haven’t been able to try it out. Oh, and I bought it in red like the one in the picture here, because I thought it was really beautiful. The official price of the PS4 controller is 59.99 euros .
