Temas de interés It’s more than that, in fact, Ulysses can be your tool for taking notes, creating a document, writing a journal, writing code… and even writing a book if you feel like it. With version 13, now available on the App Store and Mac App Store, Ulysses adds a number of features that make it easier to build a writing habit and find text.

From today you can upgrade Ulysses to version 13 on iPhone, iPad and Mac. This new version includes four main changes grouped in two different approaches:

  • Writing habits: We do not always write for pleasure, but sometimes it is a task that we have pending and it costs a little more to perform it. In order not to lose the habit and take a progress of it, Ulysses 13 incorporates a utility to define the number of daily words that we want to write in a document. Throughout the day and as we write, this counter is filled in, every morning it is reset to zero again. On the other hand, we can add a deadline to the documents that will be synchronized with the daily target so that we know exactly how much we should write each day and not lose the rhythm. In short documents this all seems silly, but when you have to write something of hundreds of pages it’s nice to be able to keep better track.
  • Syntax and tag highlighting: Ulysses 13 gains a little more color. While we can customize the formatting and display as we like, Ulysses 13 automatically improves this look. Up to now blocks of code had their own formatting, but with the new version Ulysses understands the language of the block of code and highlights the terms so that it is more easily understood. Tags are also improved and can now be colored to easily distinguish them when searching between different documents in the library.

Ulysses 13 is a free update for all previously available app users. For those who don’t, Ulysses 13 can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Mac App Store. Ulysses is a subscription-based app with monthly or annual payments of ?4.99 and ?39.99 respectively. If you’re a student, you can subscribe for ?11.99 for six months. In either case, you get 14-day free trial at no charge.
