Yesterday Twitter discovered a new function within its services. After several years of betting on third party companies to add images to the service, the company has decided that it is time to add its own image system and not depend on anyone.

Is it a coincidence that they are launching this service while there is still talk about the possible integration of the system with iOS 5? The more I think about it, the clearer it becomes that there is not much we can integrate between iOS and Twitter .

  • Create a unified agenda. If we were talking about Facebook this option would make a lot of sense, but Twitter doesn’t keep too much information about us to complement our agenda with its data, so this option is a bit out of the question.
  • Twitter integrated into the system. Understanding as this that the possibility of sending system documents, for example sending links directly to the service, GPS positions, simple data in general…
  • Sending images. In addition to the above and using the new image service, we may also easily upload (as with MobileMe) our images to the company’s new service.

What other ways could Apple integrate microblogging service into iOS?
