Twitter in iOS received today an interesting update that comes loaded with features and changes that will try to give us a better user experience. This update specifically corresponds to version 7.33 and includes tools that will help us control mobile data consumption as well as giving us the ability to better manage group messaging among other improvements that we will discuss below.
Without a doubt one of the features that have stood out in this update is the new option called “Data saving” that we will find from now on in the application settings in the “Data use” tab.
By activating this new option the application when our device is not connected through a WiFi network but through our mobile data will consume much less internet while surfing through Twitter .
How does he get this? Simply will not play the videos automatically when we scroll over and the images will initially be uploaded at a lower resolution, and only if we want them to be downloaded at the original quality.
Before Twitter already allowed us all this, delimiting what we wanted to be downloaded or not when we were with WiFi or data, but now this will be much easier to activate since it will simply be to activate an option in the configuration.
In addition to this new functionality, Twitter in iOS also has integrated better control over group members into direct messages so we can easily know who we have in our Twitter groups. They also said they’ve worked to improve VoiceOver voices by integrating them more efficiently with surveys as well as new tags for announcements.
This update is currently available in the App Store, although it may take a few hours for the new features to appear. Leave us your opinion about this update in the comment box.
