¿Abandonados por Tweetbot? Estos cuatro clientes para Mac también merecen la pena
Not content with finally updating their applications… they’re maintaining them, too! Tapbots is on top of the world and releases Tweetbot for Mac 2.0.1 with some tweaks and new features after resurrecting what many consider the best Twitter client for Mac we can use right now.
Among the new features are the new format for quoting tweets that the service launched at the beginning of April on its website and official clients (present in Tweetbot for iOS since the beginning of May), or the compatibility with the direct messages of up to 10,000 characters that Twitter will soon make possible. In addition, bugs that caused the application to crash when reloading our profile avatar or manually writing mentions when creating a new tweet have been fixed.
All these new features in Tweetbot have been made possible thanks to the fact that Twitter has made them available to everyone in its API, but we have to take into account that many third party customers have been forced to stay in the shade by the limits of that same API imposed by the company.
The question is: Does Tweetbot have a future as an unofficial customer when what the service wants is to reach a model like Facebook where what is known most is only the official application? For the sake of diversity, let’s hope so. At the moment we can still buy Tweetbot for Mac for 12.99 euros in the Mac App Store.
