La subasta para comer con Tim Cook este año se ha cerrado por 515.000 dólares
We have received the news from Reuters: Tim Cook , CEO of Apple, will travel to China to meet with the government of that country. This market has put some obstacles to the company recently, so this meeting should serve to smooth out the rough edges and pave the way for Apple to do more business.
The drop in iPhone sales in China must also have moved Cook’s agenda, as the country represents a very large part of current smartphone sales. This, coupled with the first decline in profits in 13 years for Apple, must have caused more than a little stir in Cupertino’s offices.
China has no obstacles to banning or closing Apple services in the country
The source who provided this data to Reuters wants to remain anonymous, but has said that Cook will hold meetings with senior Chinese government officials including top propaganda officials. Not surprisingly, China is concerned about the excessive influence that products and services from Apple and other Western companies may bring to the country.
It is therefore very likely that Cook will also want to ensure that there is no more bad news from the Chinese administration. The ruling Communist Party has total control over the decision to further restrict Apple’s activity , and it must be ensured that this does not happen.
Meanwhile, Tim Cook has stated in a recent interview with CNBC that Apple remains “very optimistic” about China . Let’s hope that there are no problems that prevent that optimism from continuing.
