Apple alquila todavía más oficinas cerca de su nuevo Campus 2 en Cupertino
Over the last few months, most of the news about the new Apple Campus being built in Cupertino has been based on drone-sighting footage showing us how the works are going. But what about its name? If you thought that a building as innovative as the “ring” of Campus 2 was not going to be named, here is Tim Cook to prove the opposite.
According to a recent interview in Fortune, Apple’s CEO has confessed that he hates the word ” headquarters ” when seeing the building complex in which Steve Jobs dedicated so much work. For him, Campus 2 is ” the mother of all products ” of Apple. That’s why Cook has decided that it will be Steve Jobs’ family that will decide if the name of the campus is dedicated to the company’s co-founder .
We could be talking about baptizing the whole Campus or just a part of it , as Pixar did with one of the buildings and a tree they have in their study complex. In any case, it seems that Apple’s new headquarters will have some reminiscence of Jobs somewhere.
Another curious detail that Cook commented on surrounds the thousand seat auditorium that is being built underground as part of the new Campus 2. With it, the executive states that it will be possible to have more flexibility when presenting new products . The reason for this is that by having a private auditorium and within the company’s domains, Apple saves itself from having to look for gaps in the agendas of centers like the Moscone Center, the Flint Center or the Yerba Buena Center.
” No more having to schedule events months in advance and around other companies’ agendas “, says Cook in the interview. If this serves to not have too much time between launch and launch by me perfect, although I’m sure that for the most crowded announcements of WWDC will continue to rely on the largest auditoriums of the Moscone Center .
