Apple se posiciona en contra de la retirada de protección para estudiantes transexuales de Trump
Today another meeting will be held between Donald Trump and the heads of more than 20 technology giants, in a very similar way to what we saw before he was inaugurated as President of the United States. The head of state wants advice from all those managers to modernize the government to reduce costs.
Tim Cook will be present in this meeting, next to the CEOs of other companies such as Amazon, Google (Alphabet, better), IBM, Adobe, Intel, Microsoft or Qualcomm. For the White House there is an opportunity to save one billion dollars, and he wants to know if that saving is really possible. Now, Tim Cook wants to take the opportunity to give his own advice to Trump . And there will be four of them, according to comments from Axios.
Cook will take advantage of some of the session themes of the meeting to talk with Trump about immigration , about data encryption , about the treatment of US veterans (those who have worked in the military) and about human rights . The president does not plan to sign any executive orders or promote laws that can be discussed at this meeting, but he will listen to what the executives of the technology world have to say.
Interestingly, we have only known for a few hours about the European Union’s intentions to defend point-to-point encryption in all electronic communications . Perhaps Tim Cook will use it as an argument to defend a similar plan in the United States? Modernization cannot leave security behind, of course.
