Aprende a disparar con el iPhone X: Apple publica cinco nuevos vídeos para aprovechar su cámara
One of the strongest rumors for the iPhone that we will see next year (in 2019, so I don’t mean the ones we will see this fall) is that of the back camera with three lenses . It is not an Apple invention (the Huawei P20 already boasts about it), but the Economic Daily News has reported today what Apple would do with that triple camera.
Reflected from MacRumors we can read how the iPhone would be able to detect the same object from two different angles, thus calculating the distance to that object using stereoscopic methods . You may have to move around to do this, but iOS’ own augmented reality capabilities could easily guide you to do so. We only need to look at what we can do by measuring real objects with the Measure application of iOS 12 to see for ourselves.
The third lens would function as a 3x zoom , thus giving even more capacity to magnify that 2x magnification already given by the second lens. In addition, as rumors have it for some time now, we could see 3D-related capabilities with that triple camera. It would be a sign that augmented reality is going to play a much more important role on the iPhones of the future.
But to see all this, we will have to wait until one year and three months from now, when we are waiting for the renewal of the iPhones that we are not going to see until September. And that doesn’t mean we won’t see new features in a dual camera on the next iPhone: Apple can surprise us with many surprise features without needing three lenses .
