Yesterday we talked at length about the new iPad Pro 2018, the tablet that Apple is planning to introduce next year will feature a drastically renewed design.
The side bezels of the frame present on the 2018 iPad Pro (or as the device will eventually be called) will be greatly reduced. Also, it would not have a start button.
Basically, we would be talking about an iPad Pro in the style of the iPhone X . Obviously, with a much bigger screen and features adapted to the performance of its hardware.
The 2018 iPad Pro will have a 10.5-inch screen. Its design, as we mentioned previously, will be very similar to that of the iPhone X. It will have very small side bezels, especially at the top and bottom. It will have no home button and will be slightly thicker than the current 10.5-inch iPad Pro (0.61 cm).
It’s probably one of the most radical changes in the history of the iPad. Apple has verified that the reduction of the side bezels of the iPhone X has been satisfactory , and therefore, the company intends to do the same with the iPad Pro. The bezels of its frame will be 1 cm.
The new iPad could also incorporate Face ID technology for facial recognition. This would happen thanks to the implementation of the TrueDepth camera system replacing the physical start button. It will be very interesting to see how this hardware responds in such a large device.
All the rumors seem to indicate that the 2018 iPad Pro will not adapt Samsung’s OLED technology to its displays. Since Cupertino they would need more suppliers for its manufacture, which would generate many delays in the manufacturing process . So it is very unlikely that we will see Apple presenting an OLED screen tablet soon. Although it will certainly do so in the future.
Another surprise of the 2018 iPad Pro is the addition of the popular Animojis that have been so successful on the iPhone X. On the other hand, there is speculation that Apple will introduce more 3D and augmented reality features.
More on iPad
The controversy will be served when Apple reveals how it will integrate the FaceTime camera (front camera) into the iPad Pro in 2018. Whether or not the company adapts the face recognition system to its future tablet, the device will require a FaceTime camera. But where should it be placed if its side bezels will be so small? The most logical thing is to think that Apple will include a frame on the top as it has done with the iPhone X. Will the new iPad have “ears”?
The 2018 iPad is unlikely to support the wireless charging already available on iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X. Apple is working on a new protocol that will allow devices such as iPad or MacBook to charge from a distance , but this technology will not be available for next year. However, the 2018 iPad will have fast charging.
Rumors suggest that we could see the new iPad model by mid-2018. Possibly after the WWDC. Maybe between June and September . Additionally, it is interesting to mention that the company of the bitten apple has also been working on a second generation Apple Pencil.
iDropNews says we should expect Apple to increase the price of this new 2018 iPad Pro. It will be highly advanced, especially because of the technical complications involved in designing a tablet with such small side bezels. The new 2018 iPad Pro will cost between ?125 and ?175 more than the latest model available , the 10.5-inch iPad Pro.
Now we just have to wait for the new rumors about the 2018 iPad and the introduction of Apple’s mobile device in the middle of next year. What features would you like the future Apple tablet to have?
