Coinciding with the date of what would have been his 59th birthday, has been unveiled Steve Jobs statue whose location will be in the California town of Cupertino , specifically in the headquarters of the company.
The famous Serbian sculptor Dragan Radenovic, creator of the bust of Apple’s co-founder, was proclaimed the winner of a contest that included more than 10,000 works. The most striking feature of the statue’s model is undoubtedly Jobs’ head crowning the pillar , but we can also find many other details, such as a pair of letters from the Cyrillic alphabet, the letter “A” from the Roman alphabet, and the digits 0 and 1, which serve to represent the binary system.
This is how the artist himself described it:
According to reports in the Serbian press, the first sketches that Radenovic sent to Apple managed to generate great interest due to the imperfections that the author had managed to reflect in the work.
It should also be noted that the dimensions of the statue are expected to be between 3 and 5 metres high but, for the moment, it is not known what its exact location will be within an Apple campus that covers around 80,000 square metres.
It looks like Radenovic will fly to Cupertino , where she will be sent back once it has been completed, to deal with some aspects of the final version.
