Today, Apple Pay has taken two more steps to continue its expansion in Spain. After announcing it about four months ago, the payment platform has finally been integrated with the Banco Sabadell and Bankia cards. These are two more large banks in the country, which allows us to say that there are already more large entities with Apple Pay than without it.

Unfortunately, there are still some banks that resist . Let’s see which entities they are, finding out if they have announced anything or if for the moment they are reluctant to say anything about including Apple Pay among their services.

Let’s summarize all the data in a table. The ten first positions of the above-mentioned table mention, in order, the ten main banks in Spain ordered by their quotation and assets:

In addition to all these banks, there is also the integration with Apple Pay of several non-banking companies. The cards of American Express and Carrefour, those of Ticket restaurant, Sodexo and Orange have Apple Pay among their services. The absence of the platform in banks such as ING, Barclays or Deutsche Bank is very noticeable; and for our part we can only cross our fingers so that soon the integration will include them.
