This is how the iPad range looks in 2019 after Apple’s new launches

Apple’s latest iPad releases have meant a complete redesign of its strategy. Until now we had two distinct ranges but Apple wanted to add two devices that are in between the iPad and the iPad Pro .

Apple has resurrected two iPad ranges that seemed doomed to extinction, and now we have a state-of-the-art iPad Air and iPad Mini available again. This means that, both in terms of specifications and price, they are in an intermediate range to the iPads we had until now .

What it has done, basically, is update the two old models that were on sale, the iPad Pro 10.5 and the iPad mini 4. Now for the same price we have two devices with the latest A12 Bionic processor and some interesting features are added. Not a bad strategy.

iPad 2019 range

Apple has 4 different models of iPad on the market, the iPad 2018, the iPad mini, the iPad Air and the iPad Pro. This is the new range of the Apple tablet in 2019.

4 iPad with 4 different sizes

Apple wanted to differentiate its iPad in a way that we haven’t seen on the iPhone . We now have 4 devices available with 4 different screen sizes and priced according to your specifications.

The regular 9.7-inch iPad will not be updated this year and thus retains its function as an entry-level iPad. It features the solvent A10 Fusion processor and retains its tight price tag of 349 euros . It is the iPad for all those who do not need power and its main function is to consume content. Its compatibility with the Apple Pencil makes it ideal for students as well.

iPad mini

A necessary renewal and perhaps more powerful than expected. Until now, Apple sold a completely obsolete iPad mini, but now the 100 euros extra for the iPad is justified thanks to the powerful A12 Bionic processor and the TrueTone technology on the screen. It also incorporates support for the Apple Pencil so it becomes a highly recommended model if you want a powerful and small iPad for many years.

iPad Air

A new model that nobody expected, powerful and with a bigger screen. This is an intermediate iPad for those who do not need the Pro model but who inherit many of its features. By having a Smart Connector we can use the first generation Smart Keyboard and it costs 100 euros more than the iPad mini. In return you get a bigger screen and connections. The iPad Pro is no longer necessary for you to need something more than the normal iPad.

iPad Pro

Designed for those who need the best. The best processor Apple has ever made, the A12X Bionic, along with a frameless design and Face ID . The iPad Pro is designed for professionals who need the latest in technology and comes in two different sizes. The price is almost double that of the rest of the 2019 iPad range, but it’s not a device for everyone.
