New images of the supposed Touch ID that will be incorporated in the iPhone 6
Leaks on Apple’s new iPhone 6 keep appearing day after day, and if we recently shared with you the images of its front, today we bring you the supposed Touch ID digital sensor of the next generation of Cupertino’s smartphone .
As you may know, the fingerprint sensor arrived last year exclusively for the 5s , leaving the iPad Air incomprehensibly out of the picture. This year, however, both the iPad Air 2 and the new iPhone 6 models are expected to feature such a fingerprint sensor.
Recently, a series of images have been published about the supposed Touch ID that is supposed to be incorporated in the upcoming iPhone 6 which according to various sources could be much stronger and more durable than the current sensor that incorporates the 5s. Will this be the fingerprint sensor?
A renewed and improved Touch ID to get the most out of the new iPhone 6
We cannot know exactly if these images will correspond to the real and definitive Touch ID of the iPhone 6, although everything indicates that they will, since is in line with the latest information and recent leaks that we have received over the last few days.
In relation to the photographs we present today, it is difficult to draw clear conclusions but you can see differences between the sensor of the 5s and that of the supposed iPhone 6. Without going any further, we can see how the ribbon cable has moved to the opposite side and the design would have been slightly modified to adapt to the internal structure it will have.
According to several sources, the popular TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) is said to be the company in charge of producing the first batch of fingerprint sensors for the new generation of iOS devices (iPhone 6, iPad Air 2 and Mini 3).
So, it seems that the production of the iPhone 6 Touch ID has already started and that would confirm that we will see the new 4.7 inch device between the months of September or October. However, the production of the fingerprint sensor could have been one of the many causes of the delay of the 5.5-inch model, which according to the latest information, everything points to the fact that we will not see it until the end of the year or even the beginning of 2015.
Whether this is the case or not, as the guys at Nowhereelse say, it seems clear that during the third quarter of this year, Apple will present us with the iPhone 6, at least one of the two models, along with the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3, as well as some surprises such as the possible iWatch, presumably all with the improved Touch ID .
