These are the new features that Apple has included in iOS 9 beta 3 and that have been discovered by the developers and other users so far.

New white icon for the Music app and the arrival of Apple Music

As we mentioned, the new beta includes Apple’s streaming music service. In addition to this, the music app incorporates the white icon that Apple has adopted; the same icon that is present in iOS 8.4.

Possibility to activate high quality playback of Apple Music on mobile connections

Apple Music automatically regulates the quality of the music stream. In almost all circumstances this is more than acceptable, but with iOS 9 it seems to be possible to choose the option of always having the highest possible quality. Thus, in the beta 3 there is already an option that allows to activate the playback at maximum quality when we are using a mobile data network to listen to music. An interesting point for those who have loose data rates.

New smart albums for screenshots and selfies

The Photos app now features two new smart albums . The first of them holds all the screenshots we make, while the second does the same with the selfies. In both cases iOS 9 takes care of everything and when it detects a picture that matches one of the two features it will automatically include it in the corresponding album, making it much easier to locate them.

Correction of mistranslations

Apple continues to fix translation errors and in iOS 9 beta 3 many of the errors present in the previous beta have disappeared completely.

The News application is now available

The app News was one of the great new features that Apple announced during the iOS 9 launch. This new beta already includes a first version, although at the moment it is only possible to use it if we are in the USA.

Folders on the iPad show more icons

Another one of those little novelties that in the long run makes our lives a little more comfortable. The folders on the iPad have changed from showing 9 icons (3×3) to 16 (4×4).

General improvements to the fluidity and performance of the operating system

This is something that is almost always present in iOS updates and especially in betas. The development of the operating system continues and is noticeable in the overall fluidity and stability of this new beta.
