If you think the wave of new instant messaging services and applications was already ending… I’m afraid you’re wrong. MessageMe was born out of the controversy surrounding WhatsApp as an alternative service that could overshadow it.
I don’t have to spend a lot of time explaining: MessageMe has everything WhatsApp has, including a user registration process where you have to register your mobile phone number . Its aces in the sleeve are a very attractive interface for its simplicity and the richness of formatting with which we can send messages to friends individually or to groups of people.
We can send normal text messages, voice messages, videos, images, information about a song or even a picture with drawings on top that we have painted with our finger, which is one of the few things that make MessageMe different from the other options.
The bad thing is the usual: I have installed it and as it is a completely new service I do not have any contact to talk to in the agenda. Its interface is one of the best I have seen in its category, but something very strong would have to happen in the instant messaging market for MessageMe to stand out and become a strong contender.
Anyway, if you are fed up with the usual clients, MessageMe is a visually very attractive alternative and completely free .
