The sixth beta of iOS 12.2 suggests that AirPower could finally reach the market in a matter of days

The apple company has just released the sixth beta of iOS 12.2 and significant new features have already been found in this test version. The source code for this beta shows that there will be significant changes to the component responsible for wireless charging, which includes the code responsible for identifying that two devices are charging in the same base.

Remember that AirPower can charge up to three devices at once, using the device with the largest display to show the charge status of all the equipment in the charger. In addition, it shows the 3D animations of the devices on screen when they start charging, which is partly what this system component is for.

With the week of launches we have had from Apple, it is very likely that Cupertino’s firm will officially launch AirPower to consumers. Earlier this year, rumors assured that AirPower would go into production on January 21, and if that is true, Apple’s new wireless charging platform would be available for purchase soon.

At Apple, AirPower wasn’t just a charging base: so was its internal technology, smart features and safety

If this launch becomes a reality, it would mark the end of a two-year wait since AirPower’s announcement on the same keynote where Apple announced the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, in September 2017 .
