breveCreatures ScreensaverMás información
There was a time when screen savers were used to keep the electrons in the old CRT monitors moving, showing dynamic images on the screen that did not “freeze” patterns in the display area.
Today, screen savers are used for just about everything except what they were originally intended for. From keeping the processor “active” to not losing processing power , in distributed computing projects… and for fun.
If you want to add to this last component the curiosity , you will probably have to install this shortCreatures Screensaver: a screensaver that uses complex artificial intelligence algorithms to generate creatures that evolve in a three-dimensional space , and interact with the environment as they progress in their evolution.
It’s true that this screensaver is not notable for its graphics , but surely if you try it you’ll find it curious how much “life” can be achieved with artificial intelligence patterns, and long enough. BreveCreatures will save the evolution of the creatures that were created since they were installed, so that they can continue their progress when is activated again.
A good example of what can be achieved is the following video:

BreveCreatures ScreenSaver is completely free, and if you install it simply double-click on the file .saver that you will download from the link at the end of the entry. It may not be the prettiest screen saver we have talked about but, without a doubt, is one of the most interesting .
Thank you very much to our reader Carlos Sisi for the recommendation!
