The new iPhone prototype has 256 MB of RAM and the iPad’s A4 processor

MacRumors

My colleague Samuel Campos has recently informed us that another prototype of the next iPhone, more advanced than the unit the Gizmodo boys had, has been found. This unit has now been disassembled and analyzed down to the last detail, and interesting features of the phone hardware have been discovered .

Firstly, the prototype has 256 MB of RAM, the same amount of memory that we can find in the iPhone 3GS and the iPad. This does not mean an increase in memory (at least for the moment), but the phone has the A4 processor that Apple presented with the iPad.

That means that if these are the final specifications of the phone, we will simply have a miniature iPad inside the circuitry of an iPhone. No wonder, since if the new resolution of the device’s screen is confirmed, it has to deal with a resolution almost as high as the iPad itself.

Apple is planning to surprise us with this new iPhone, although seeing the leaks of these prototypes we may see the presentation of a product whose specifications we already know. Let’s wait until June to see if this will be fulfilled or not.
