Apple lanza su campaña “Shot on iPhone 6” más allá de su página web
Do you remember Frederic Kauffmann, the only Spaniard who participated in the Made with iPhone 6 campaign and with whom we had the pleasure of speaking? Now history is repeating itself with the similar campaign with the iPhone 6s, which includes photographs of Madrid-born but New York-based John de Guzman .
The one you see above is one of them, looking great on the Gran Via in Madrid. It is on display in the Spanish capital and 85 other large cities in 26 countries around the world. The child is Iñigo, John’s son, who reflects what Apple wants for this campaign: the little big moments we can have in our daily lives with people as the main characters.
These are the two photographs that John de Guzman has in the campaign, which join 51 other artists from around the world. They were taken with an iPhone:
Both have been made with the iPhone’s Camera application, although John comments in the press release that Apple has sent us that usually uses VSCO and sometimes Snapseed to make very light touches to the photographs. In the second picture it seems that Iñigo is in a huge bed, but it is actually an effect: the baby was very small (weighing only 2.6 kg) when the picture was taken and it contrasts with a usual size bed.
For the author there is no need for Photoshop or other complicated editing applications to take good photos: his advice is to simply be very still when taking them and not to add too much clarity to the photos as with the iPhone there is no need.
If today you walk along the Gran Via in Madrid, you can see the photograph of John de Guzman at the junction with Calle Montera .
