We already talked the other day that Tony Fadell had shown on Twitter that he had in his hands the Mac Pro Product Red that was auctioned some time ago at Sotheby’s in New York, a unique and exclusive design by Jonathan Ive as a charity action .
But we were all wrong, and he has denied it again on his Twitter account. The Mac Pro isn’t his, it’s just in the pictures with him. In fact, it was photographer Kevin Abosch who posted the photos. We don’t know who owns this museum piece anyway. Fadell himself says that he will not reveal it , that if he wants he will do it:
The same guy who got the Mac Pro also won the auction for the golden headphones, which Jony Ive designed himself. These were all items, part of a series to be auctioned in November to raise funds for the fight against AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.
Remember that the Mac Pro sold for almost a million euros, but the headphones sold for much more than their original price , as the winning bid paid $461,000 for them. We are talking about a total of 1.4 million dollars for the computer and the headphones.
