According to new rumors, the iWatch will finally not be presented together with the iPhone 6
Less than a week after the Keynote, rumors and information about what they might present, what those devices might look like, etc. are still coming out. The latest information pointed out that Apple would present the iPhone 6 4.7 and 5.5 inches along with the iWatch, but new rumors claim that the smartwatch will finally not see the light on September 9th .
This information, coming from supply chain sources, ensures that it is very unlikely that Cupertino’s will officially show the rumoured device to the public .
According to this latest report, even though the various components that will be part of the smarwatch are already in production, the device itself is still in the so-called engineering verification test (EVT) stage , which is why it will not be presented alongside the iPhone 6 on the Keynote.
The iWatch still has some way to go before it reaches mass production
Once the device passes this verification stage, it goes on to the next stage, called PVT (product validation test), a phase in which a small batch of the product is manufactured at full speed to pass quality controls . Once this phase has been passed, all that remains is for mass production to begin.
However, we can’t rule out the possibility that Apple will release the iWatch on September 9th along with the two iPhone 6 models , although it will arrive on the market some time later. Several rumors suggest that Apple’s smart clock will not be released until early 2015.
On the other hand, CultofMac points out that some people think that Apple would not venture to present it in the Keynote since they still have the possibility of changing the design of the iWatch between the EVT and PVT phases , and therefore, the final design could vary a lot from what they are working on now.
Possible iWatch features
So far, a lot has been said about the iWatch, the first wearable device that the American company will launch on the market. It is still not very clear which design they will choose for this device , some people are aiming for a design with a circular sphere and others are betting on an elongated smartband type screen.
On the other hand, there has been talk of the possibility of having three models and two different versions depending on the size of the screen, which could be AMOLED flexible. In addition, would have several biometric sensors , would integrate perfectly with iOS devices and it is believed that could be waterproof .
And you, do you think we’ll see the iWatch next Tuesday or will we have to wait even longer?
