The iWatch, Google Glass and Nike Fuelband, what Tim Cook has to say

We continue with Tim Cook’s statements in the interview he had with AllThingsD a few hours ago. Now let’s talk about what Tim Cook thinks about the new trend of creating products that are accessories to the body, whether it’s a smart pair of glasses, a smart watch or a smart bracelet. Will Apple surprise us with a smart gadget?

More details on the interview Tim Cook gave to AllThingsD. As we have seen so far, Tim Cook has given details about the current situation at Apple and about the next products to come out of Cupertino. It is now time to talk about smart accessories , to call them what they are.

During the interview, Tim Cook was asked what he thinks of the Google Glass that is making so much noise:

Tim Cook then pointed out that he loves the Nike Fuelband -let’s remember that he is part of the Nike board of directors-, for those who are not aware, it is a bracelet that monitors all our activity. Here’s what he thinks about smart accessories :

After this, Tim Cook dropped his opinion about smart watches and went back to the Google glasses:

There you have it, for Tim Cook clocks are a thing of the past . The truth is that part of it is right, we all use our phones to check the time – although I have to admit that I proudly wear my iPod nano as a wristwatch. On the other hand, as you can see, in general, the Apple CEO doesn’t see a future for products that aren’t incredible.

Will Apple show us some incredible product that will convince us to buy it? Of course, Cupertino are experts at that. Someone has to punch the table and bring out a product that people want , that they don’t know they want it now but when they see it they will queue up to buy it, for now, only Apple has known how to do that.
