We are just a few days away from the presentation of the hypothetical three new devices that Cupertino would have ready to show us (in theory the iPhone 8 and two iPhone 7s), and the analysts’ reports talking about the date of launch to the public of this device do not stop being published in different media.
Possible iPhone 8
Yesterday we said that the iPhone 8 could be delayed until October, but a new report from TechCrunch states that the iPhone 8 might not be available at the Apple stores until the end of the year, although we will have the model 7s much earlier.
We all thought that on September 15th the pre-booking period would open and on the 22nd we would start shipping certain iPhones, but today TechCruch has taken away this hope and affirmed that these dates will be postponed until the end of the year, at least with the iPhone 8. The report we are commenting on names sources close to Apple although it does not specify exactly when the iPhone 8 will be shipped, leaving it quite in the air. Specifically the note that has been released is as follows:
The delay that the Apple flagship would suffer is due to problems in the supply and assembly line , something that would make sense, due to all the rumors in August and July about the low availability of OLED screens. This would cause us to leave at the end of the year, although personally I don’t think Apple will delay this device that much.
In my opinion, I think that the list of countries where the iPhone 8 will arrive first will be very small (compared to last year’s iPhone 7). With this they will manage to arrive in October and analyze the demand they will present. Although Apple is a great company and I think they will have already done numerous market studies to make their estimates of how many models they will sell and how many they will be able to offer.
But as I say, this is my opinion after reading this TechCruch note. I look forward to reading yours in the comment box.
