Nada de ‘iPhone SE 2’: algunos analistas empiezan a apostar por la desaparición de la gama SE
In early May, I was telling you how a problem with the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus microphone had led Apple to repair it for free in some cases, even though it was out of warranty. If you were one of those affected, the component icon was grayed out in the interface that appears during a phone call.
Now several sources have confirmed to MacRumors that Apple has stopped making this exception. Internally, this issue is no longer taken into account, so if the iPhone is out of warranty the repair will be charged at its normal price . Of course, if the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus is still under warranty, you will still get the repair for free.
You can also get a free repair if you have one of the AppleCare+ extended warranties, but it depends on the individual case. Of course, this does not mean that you will be covered by the warranty if you have an AppleCare plan.
If you have an iPhone 7 and are experiencing these issues with your microphone, please remember that you can always contact Apple for advice or take it directly to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Premium Reseller to ask about a repair. Repair that, in view of the above, is no longer an exception in the rules as of this week.
