Preparations for the inaugural Keynote and the rest of WWDC are underway to arrive on the scheduled date of 22 June. So much so that it seems that Apple has released, for a very short period of time, the necessary profile to install iOS 14 on its developer page.
The profile required to install iOS 14 via OTA has been available for download on the developer portal for several minutes. After realizing the error, Apple immediately removed the document and although the links seem to still exist, the download does not find the corresponding item.
It is worth mentioning that, in addition, Apple has disabled the profile, so whoever has been able to download it during that short period of time will not be able to use it to download the operating system either. An operating system that, to be even more redundant, needs the signature of the company’s update servers in order to be able to run the installation.
Although this small glitch is not enough for us to start enjoying iOS 14 one week before it officially launches, it shows that Apple is testing and planning the whole event to make WWDC a success .
It is likely that as a result of this situation we will find profiles and ways to install iOS 14 on our devices on various websites. From Apple we want to remember that there will be no way to install this new version until Apple allows it next 22nd. Furthermore, these unofficial resources may pose a risk to the security of the device or leave it unusable until the official release.
In AppleOne more thing… Signatures on mail, Apple Glass and FCP
For now we just have to wait for the top managers of the company on the block to come on stage and tell us all the news first hand: eight days, six hours and 36 minutes.
