Así es Apple Vía Santa Fe, la primera Apple Store en México
The apple company continues its expansion in Latin America. After having launched its first official store in Brazil in 2014, and after opening one in Mexico in 2016, it is now the turn of Argentina. According to Gizmodo, Argentina will have its first Apple Store in 2018, following in the footsteps of a large wave of authorized distributors who will start opening new points of sale this year in Buenos Aires territory.
This turns out to be very good news for users in that country, where acquiring an apple device brought great difficulties. Only since the beginning of this year, Argentines can even buy some devices through Frávega, a store specialized in the sale of electronic products, that sells Apple products under the concept of “store in store” .
Although in theory the first Latin American country to receive the Apple Store was Brazil, Mexico marked an important moment in 2016 by becoming the first Hispanic American country to receive the official store of Cupertino’s firm .
“At Apple we believe that Mexico is the hub of all Latin America and therefore a natural partner for Apple; we want to learn from the culture of Mexico and unite with Apple’s culture in a symbiotic way” , said Enrique Atienza, executive director of retail for Apple Latin America, during the launch of the store in Mexico City.
Gizmodo also indicated that Argentina is not the only destination Apple has in mind, since the company would already be in negotiations to open new stores in Guadalajara, Monterrey, Santiago de Chile and Lima .
