With the arrival of iOS 11.2.2 to our mobile devices, a feature was released that has started to make its deployment in the devices that have been updated. The Apple Voice Assistant will start playing daily news podcasts when you are asked about current news . This way, Siri will offer news from a certain media by default (depending on the user’s location), but will also take into account media such as Fox News, CNN or The Washington Post (it seems that for the moment, this feature will only be available in English).

This new feature can be used when we mention ‘Hey Siri’, when we ask the assistant about the news when we are using CarPlay, or even, if we are with our headphones connected .

Although the new audio news feature was previously seen in the iOS 11.2.5 beta, it was not yet available on devices with the current iOS version. According to AppleInsider, this new feature of Siri is now available on devices with iOS 11.2, iOS 11.2.2 (the current iOS version) and also in the iOS 11.2.5 beta . At the moment it is confirmed that this feature is available in the United States and the United Kingdom, so we will have to wait to see if it will also be available in Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries.
