Having a MacBook now means having to adapt at a forced pace to USB-C since it doesn’t include other types of connections such as USB 3.0, HDMI, or SD card readers. In order to make up for this lack, we must resort to official Apple adapters that are worth quite a bit of money or opt for a hub that includes the main connections that we normally use in our day-to-day life. On this occasion we decided to test the Hub of the brand Elecjoy that has numerous connections to a quite interesting principle.
This time, the hub is fully integrated into the MacBook, making it much easier to work with and transport. After testing a hub that was not associated with the MacBook but connected through a cable without a doubt I’m left with this type of design. This is because when you connect your computer to an external display via HDMI you’re not as likely to be disconnected by our involuntary movements.
In addition to an amazing silver design and two USB-C hubs to attach to one side of the MacBook, it has a wide range of connections. In particular, we found them:
- 2 USB 3.0 ports.
- HDMI output.
- Thunderbolt Port 3.
- USB-C port that we can use to recharge the Mac.
- SD/microSD card reader
As I say, one of the USB-C ports supports Power Delivery so you can recharge your device quickly and also transfer files at great speed. In addition, the devices you connect to this connection will also be recharged in a fast way.
The HDMI output in corpora supports video output in 4K resolution, so you can connect it to a 4K monitor at 30 hertz or 1080p at 60 hertz. I have to say that the operation is really good and you do not experience any cut in the image of the external monitor without losing the signal at any time, unlike what happens with other accessories.

Data transfer with the different ports is quite fast, from 5 Gbps on the USB 3.0 ports and 40 Gbps on the USB-C ports. After testing with different connected accessories, no significant gaps were found.
In short, for us it is a more than good alternative over other hubs and above all because of the price they have which is quite competitive. The only thing that we can miss is an Ethernet connection to connect our Mac to the network through a LAN cable, but it is true that this is not used by all users who seek portability and work in places where there is no such connection.
That’s why we believe this hub is indispensable for any user with a MacBook. We currently find it on Amazon for 35.99, a price that we think is more than fair looking at the rest of the competing hubs.
