The Apple Watch will also be for left-handers

As you know Apple presented yesterday the Apple Watch, the Cupertino’s wearable . It is customizable, in various sizes and finishes, with different straps… An endless number of possibilities according to Jonathan Ive himself. There is only one problem: and left-handed people, who thinks about left-handed people?

It is currently estimated that 10% of the world’s population is left-handed , and yesterday we only saw the Watch on right-handed people both on stage and in the promotional images. The comments didn’t take long to arrive, there is even a petition on change.org.

Apple put a lot of emphasis on how the Digital Crown , the latest technology, would allow us to easily navigate through the different functionalities of the Watch. Clearly placed as it is on the right arm of a left-handed person it is useless since these controls are on the opposite side.

Fortunately the new wearable will be reversible . This has been confirmed by an Apple spokesperson. Apparently an option during the first configuration will allow us to use it as a right-handed or a left-handed person. We imagine that it will be a matter of simply rotating the screen, with the controls inverted, apart from exchanging the two parts of the strap.

As Ive said, the Watch will have millions of ways to customize it , and indeed, this will be one of them.
