The Apple Watch is becoming an essential accessory in our daily lives and this is being reflected in the sales of this smartwatch which stands out above the sales of other brands such as Xiaomi which has been left in second place this time behind Apple.
According to an IDC report Apple has managed to sell a total of 4.7 million Apple Watch, in Q2 2018 which translates into a market share of 17%. Its biggest competitor, Xiaomi, has been left in second place after selling only 4.2 million units as you can see from the IDC table below.
Apple has had a very good growth of almost 40% compared to last year’s sales, a very positive figure for the company. Fitbit is the company that has come out worst in this ranking by placing in third place after losing almost 21% of sales over the previous year, selling in Q2 2018 only 2.7 million units.
Although Fitbit has been the brand most punished by consumers, Huawei has been the most benefited with a growth in the second quarter of 118.1% placing it in a very good fourth place.
