Apple has notified developers through the App Store of an application price increase in any country where the Euro is the official currency and in those countries where the Euro is accepted as a method of payment. It seems that prices in Mexico will also increase with respect to Mexican pesos. The change will take effect during the next week, probably before the weekend. The reason is the same as always, the exchange rates.
Changes are also announced regarding value added tax for Taiwan, 5% will be applied from May 1st , so the prices of applications and purchases within them will increase.
No wonder, as prices and their rise due to the behavior of the dollar has affected several countries. If you’re about to buy any payment app in Europe or your payment currency is the euro, take advantage of buying what you need from the App Store, the increase seems to be significant. From the 0.99 euro cents that a basic app normally costs, will rise to 1.09 euro and so gradually as we can see in the following table filtered by the French site iPhoneAddict.
What do you think of this new increase in the price of applications? Will we see another increase in the year? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section.
