Ming-Chi Kuo has just shared new forecasts for Apple products coming in the first half of 2020. According to the analyst, Cupertino’s firm plans to launch several new products in the coming months, including the highly anticipated AirTag (which we expected to arrive in 2019) and a wireless charging base for multiple devices.
Kuo said the company would also launch the new low-cost 4.7-inch iPhone, new iPad Pro models, new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models and new high-end wireless headphones.
“We predict that Apple’s top new hardware products in the H1 2020 will include the 4.7-inch iPhone LCD, an iPad Pro, a MacBook Pro Air, a smaller wireless charging cradle , an AirTag and a high-end Bluetooth headset” , Kuo wrote in a research note.
The idea of the Apple Tag is that it works as a notifier for the user about the location of specific “offline” objects. The clearest example is placing it on keys, or also on a suitcase or backpack for example. From there we can locate the object from the iPhone or other devices with the Search app.
In AppleStream the ‘Apple Tag’ is filtered: the iOS 13 code shows it in real screenshots
Users will be notified whenever an Apple Tag moves too far away from the user , as indicated by the iOS code 13. To avoid it ringing all the time, you can create “safe locations” where the device knows that the Apple Tag can stay even if the user moves away, for example the house. For now, we can only wait to see if this rumor will become a reality, but Kuo’s predictions are usually quite accurate.
