Apple wasn’t kidding when they said they were going to open more stores in China, but what we didn’t expect was that they would be so big. Today, images have appeared of what will be the largest Apple Store in Asia in the Chinese city of Hangzhou .
It is a huge metal cube, with the glass front covered by a banner full of Chinese symbols. It is currently undergoing its final touches before being inaugurated, and will have a total surface area of 3,000 square metres . The red apple will presumably turn white once the roof is removed and the shop looks its best.
At the same time, work is progressing on another Apple Store in the city of Chongqing . In this case, the already iconic Shanghai glass cylinder has been taken and imitated on a smaller scale, which will allow the Chinese to better identify the store.
They are two stores that, like the rest of the stores that we should see if Tim Cook keeps his promise, will be located in large metropolises in China. The country has become a real battleground for the big technology companies, so the more presence the better .
