Many times it is difficult to choose between one music application or another, and few people have not tried several options before finally deciding on one of them. Some offer us more musical variety than others, cheaper prices, or simply consume less mobile data than their market rivals when we listen to our favourite songs on the street. Sometimes we even have been using a certain application for quite some time but we decide to switch to another one, and we don’t want to lose our songs. With SongShift, the application we’ll be analysing today, we’ll be able to synchronise our playlists between various applications thus avoiding the work of having to add one to one each track.
Synchronize your playlists easily
If there is something that characterizes this application is undoubtedly its intuitive design and interface , without extras and without an overloaded menu, making synchronizing your music quite easy.
To start moving your playlists from one streaming music service to another, you’ll need to download SongShift from the App Store. Once you have the application in your possession, the steps to follow are very simple:
- Choose the application you want to get your music from and enter your registration details (username and password). Then do the same with the destination application where your playlist will sync to.
- Once you have validated your data in both, it will give you the option to “transfer playlist”. If you click on that option, the program will ask you which application you want to send that list to, and then all you have to do is select the destination application and SongShift will do the rest.
To use SongShift, log in to both services and synchronize your playlists.
What applications are supported by SongShift?
If you use any of the following applications you are in luck, as they are the ones currently supported by SongShift. Apple Music (Premium user required), Deezer, Discogs, Hype Machine, Last.fm, Spotify, Tidal and YouTube are the services that will allow you to transfer playlists between them through this application.
In the case of Apple Music, if we want to pass our songs there from another service, we will have to previously create a playlist in Apple Music and then sync , because otherwise, since Apple does not allow to create playlists directly, SongShift will not detect any playlist.
Like everything, it has its limitations
It wasn’t all going to be good news, and at this point it’s time to talk about money. If you want to transfer playlists in which you have all your music collection since you were a child, you will have two options: do it in parts or pay.
SongShift allows you to synchronize 50 songs from each playlist every time you use it , so if you want to transfer a list of, say, 100 songs, you’ll have to do it in two steps or pay the 5.49 euros it costs to unlock this limit.
What do you think of the application? Did you know it? Do you think it can help you synchronize your playlists?
