As we all know, if something is confirmed by Mark Gurman, it is true, due to his internal sources. Now, through an Asian supplier, it is again being emphasized that Apple’s augmented reality glasses will arrive between 2019 and 2020.
It seems that Quanta Computer is working on a device similar to a headset but with a completely transparent lens that allows users to see through it and interact with the environment. In other words, glasses similar to Google Glass. Apple has not been mentioned directly , but everything points to Cupertino.
The vice president of Quanta Computer says that they are working on an augmented reality project with a company they cannot mention . The statements have come out in the interview of the company’s financial results:
Apple is expected to leverage everything learned from ARKit in iOS 11 and all the development of the platform through the augmented reality apps that have come out and will come out in the next few years. Another interesting fact is that is expected to cost less than 1,000 dollars , which although it is a lot, can be equally successful in the market.
Quanta Computer is one of Apple’s leading suppliers for the Apple Watch and MacBook . The company also manufactures products for Amazon, Google, Facebook and Microsoft, but has Apple as its number one customer. Like it or not, augmented reality is the future of digital interaction, and Apple will be fully committed to it in 2019.
