I lost my passion for Apple products years ago, and I’ve always recognized that they do things right and things wrong, just like every other son of a bitch. But if I used to defend the brand as the best option when choosing a computer or a Smartphone-Tablet… Now I simply downgrade it to the best option according to “my needs”. But I won’t deny that the iPhone 6 has reminded me of sensations that the original iPhone produced and that none of the subsequent generations had managed to remind me of.
Now, after months of strong sales and long waiting times, we see the first fruits of the first iPhone launched entirely under the auspices of Tim Cook (supposedly). The iPhone 6 and 6 plus has managed to get Apple to regain market share in some countries where it was losing , such as Germany, England or even the United States.
Let’s not think that we are facing a dizzying rise, in some cases we are talking about an increase of one percentage point (in China), but in Germany and the USA it has risen by more than 4 percent and in England, where the rise has been more pressing, by 12.2 percent . This shows that the iPhone 6 (and 6 plus) has managed to convince users much more than previous generations. What is even more striking is that Android has stopped its upward trend in the United States.
If we focus on Spain, we see that the market share of iOS has increased over the last year from 6.3% in November 2013 to 9.7% today. Obviously, Android continues to lead the market indisputably , and only because of Google’s policy of licensing smartphone manufacturers, it is impossible for this to change.
We also have an increase in the adoption rate of iOS 8 . Right now, with the data on paper we have that 68% of iOS devices on the market have version 8 installed. This is 5 percent more than last month and 12 percent more than in the last two months.
Meanwhile, iOS 7 is down from 33 percent last month to 29 percent today. Even with the initial problems, it seems that iOS 8 has finally managed to save them and continue to increase its share at a good pace.
