Siri was a before and after in the field of artificial intelligence . We were all surprised at how natural it was and how quickly it got a useful answer to your questions. This led to Cortana appearing and Google Voice receiving many improvements. But Siri was a technology acquired by Apple.
Its creators were Viv Labs, an American startup that Siri’s development served to put it in the technological spotlight. Now it seems that they are planning to return to the fray and to do so they are raising money for their next big challenge, an artificial intelligence capable of learning by itself.
Her name (for the moment) is Viv and she has the peculiarity that unlike assistants like Siri or Cortana, she does not need the developers’ programming to be able to answer a question . Viv will be focused entirely on the Internet of things, so almost any electronic device in the home will be able to have it.
Viv will be able to adapt to the questions asked and understand natural language . She will also be able to answer questions that are asked even if they were not foreseen by the developers. We’ll see where this goes and if Viv Labs can surprise us as they did with Siri.
